The authors of this study, using the codename GTKRK, are parishioners of the Polish Roman Catholic St Sigismund parish in Słomczyn, in the Konstancin-Jeziorna deanery in Poland. Using a codename is not tantamount to full anonymity — it merely indicates a preference for a pseudonymous presence in the public sphere. Individual correspondence with interested parties will, at the discretion of the Curator/Administrator of the portal, be signed by name and surname of the Authors' representative. Therefore, we ask that correspondence be sent only to the email address provided on the portal, not to the parish address.

We emphasize that the authors are not professional historians, and while they are not formally familiar with the professional tools of this venerable profession, if they use them, it is unwittingly. However, while the work «Liber Albus» possesses the characteristics of a journalistic work, it is also — according to the authors — a strictly scholarly work. The journalistic nature of the publication is expressed in the conscious choice of the presentation medium, i.e. communication in the digital world. One of the fundamental characteristics of what is commonly referred to as the Internet is its universal accessibility and the associated ability to make immediate corrections and additions.

The authors of «Liber Albus» welcome all comments, remarks, and opinions you may have after familiarizing yourself with our study. What's more, we look forward to hearing from you, because you, individually and collectively, are part of the process known as peer review. Without your contribution — significant, invaluable, even fundamental, even at this stage — this work will remain incomplete. Therefore, we eagerly — and with some trepidation — await family recollections, documents, disclosures of errors, recommendations, etc. All will be carefully considered and possibly used.

Your contribution is all the more desirable because the Authors, while working on «Liber Albus» — prob. by far the largest lexicon compiled in recent decades, not only in Poland — has not received assistance or support from any institution or organization (except from the St Sigismund parish), often in fact encountering indifference and sometimes even disregard. Not from university, public or private, even those that seem particularly suited to research in the field covered by «Liber Albus». «Liber Albus» has been created without support from recognized „authorities”. Without any funding, without any sponsor.

However, these institutions, research institutes, and universities have been and continue to be very willing to use «Liber Albus», and we continue to encourage them to do so.

All the more gratitude is due to those who had the courage to write to «Liber Albus» including information and mementos of the clergy who gave their lives for Christ, Poland, and all of us. It is to their memory that the Authors dedicate this work.

In particular, however, we thank Divine Providence, who has guided and directs us, pouring upon us His immeasurable „springs of grace”, of which we are not worthy, but for which we are humbly grateful. And for your prayers on our behalf, for which we continue to ask.
