details of death
On 16.04.1966, when ministered in the Pierzchnica parish, the Commie‐Nazi Voivodeship Office for Religious Affairs sent a letter to the diocesan curia in Kielce informing him that proceedings had been initiated in the matter of his activities — „harmful to the people’s state”. The accusation was made that in a sermon delivered on 11.04.1966 „publicly stigmatised Polish historians for allegedly distorting the historical truth of the nation and the Fatherland”. Interrogated — also in connection with refusal to consent to the inspection of religious education classes at catechesis points (the Commie‐Nazis forbid religious education classes in schools) — did not break down. The same year transferred to another parish.
After the establishment of the Independent Self–Governing Trade Union „Solidarity” in 1980, the first such organisation in the Commie‐Nazi bloc, became its chaplain in Proszowice.
After the criminal military junta led by Wojciech Jaruzelski imposed martial law in Poland and banned union activity, invited artists who boycotted the regime's media to perform in the church in Klimontów. After Masses, read articles from the opposition press to the faithful, providing information not available in the official press. His sermons were secretly recorded and passed on to the regime's organs.
Summoned and interrogated several times by the criminal Commie‐Nazi SB, the Polish unit of the Russian KGB.
After some of the restrictions of martial law were lifted, followed by the SB.
Perished, in unexplained circumstances, crushed by his own car.
The car rolled down a 12‐meter‐long driveway with a 12‐degree slope, into the garage, running over him.
The autopsy revealed „a fracture of the base of the skull, a brain contusion, a subarachnoid hematoma, contusions to the right side of the face and a fracture of the right thigh”.
Barely a month after his death, on 30.03.1985, the Commie‐Nazi services discontinued the investigation, „not finding any crime”.
There are indications that may have been murdered by the SB or the police. I.a., after 1990 and the fall of the regime, one of the prosecutors of the General Prosecutor's Office stated that the investigation had been conducted incorrectly.
Most of the documentation was destroyed.
