For the first time arrested by Lithuanian Commie‐Nazis in 1964.

On 23.11.1964 tried and for children catechesis sentenced for a year in prison.

Held in Lukiškės prison and Rossa Str. prison–correctional camp.

In 1969 Lithuanian Commie‐Nazi local government cancelled his „right to practice priestly profession”.

After regaining „right to be a priest” arrested on 26.08.1971 in Prienai parish again.

Again for ministering and catechization of children sentenced for a year in prison (during the trial attempting to get to court chambers Fr Virgil Jaugelis was beaten up by Russians).

Held again in Lukiškės prison in Vilnius and Prawieniszki correctional camp.

From 1972 missionary in Russia — in Altai Krai, Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Siberia — among Volga Germans, Lithuanian, Polish prisoners and deportees to Siberia.

From 1972 collaborator and cofounder of clandestine underground „Chronicle of Catholic Church in Lithuania”.

On 23.11.1978 cofounder of Catholic Committee for Defense of Believers.

Permanently followed by KGB agents (up to 115 of them) — by KGB known as „Akiplėša” investigative name.

Accused of common crimes and imputed for morally compromising behaviour (alcoholism, venereal diseases).

In 1980 burnt with unknown chemical substance by „unknown perpetrators”.

Perished in suspicious circumstances — never properly investigated (in 1980s a number of Lithuanian Catholics perishes in „suspicious circumstances”, prob. with active participation of Commie‐Nazi KGB agents) — in car „accident” on Kalesninkai–Eišiškės road, n. crossing with road to Valkininkai, n. village Pajuodupis — a GAZ53 truck car rammed in the car he was passenger of.

The driver of passenger car perished as well.

ZAL Prawienischkien: Harsh Germ. Zwangsarbeitslager (Eng. forced labor camp) — also a transit camp prior to transfer to other concentration camps — mainly for Poles and Jews, organised by Germans in Pravieniškės in Lithuania — in the place of a detention camp for opponents of the Lithuanian regime of Smetona that existed till 1940, and from 1940 of a Russian camp, whose prisoners were murdered by the Russians in 06.1941, before the arrival of the Germans — and run by Lithuanians (from 11.1943 subcamp of KL Kauen concentration camp). In 06.1941 when escaping from approaching Germans Russians murdered most of its prisoners. Numer of professors of Stephen Batory University in Vilnius (including members of its Theological Department) were held there, as well as clerics and priests from Catholic theological seminaries. On 15.09.1943 more then 100 Polish hostages were brought there — part of reprisals after execution of Polish independence Home Army AK unit (part of Polish Clandestine State) on German agent. Vilnius (Rossa prison): After end of the World War II and start of Russian occupation of Lithuania Russians appropriated the Visitation Sisters’ cloister and Holiest Heart of Jesus church at Rossa Str. in Vilnius and used them as prison — correctional camp. Vilnius (Lukiškės): Vilnius prison used both by Russians and Germans. Thousands of Poles were kept there. From 2,000 to 16,000 prisoners were jailed at any time there.
