general info

Wola Roźwienicka

Excerpt from the situation report of Lieutenant Tadeusz Ochocki, the PUBP manager in Jarosław, on April 27, 1945, about the murder of 10 Ukrainians in Wola Roźwaniecka by unknown persons  […]
On April 20, 1945, unknown individuals armed with weapons abducted 10 people with unknown names in Zarzecze commune. They shot a woman and a man, and kidnapped 8 other people to an uninhabited forester's lodge in Wola Róźwienicka and murdered them there, as shown by the appearance of these victims. Presumably there were two families. A 40‑year‑old woman, 2 20‑year‑old women and a one‑year‑old child. The names of the murdered victims have not been established, and the murderers have not been identified, but, as the investigation has shown, they are probably Ukrainian families, because only people of Ukrainian nationality are murdered in this area”.
