1945 February 27, Jarosław — Fragment of the situation report of the PUBP manager in Jarosław 10 for the period February 17 — February 27, 1945:
„d) On February 24, 1945, a Ukrainian family consisting of 9 people was murdered in the village of Wierzbna, Jarosław district, by unknown perpetrators”.

1980 February 11, Rzeszów — Fragment of a card of the murder by members of the Home Army unit from the 'Warta' group on a Ukrainian family in the village of Wierzbna:
„In March 1945 (no further date available), a band led by [Edward] Carpenter nom‑de‑guerre 'Zabawa' carried out a terrorist attack on a citizen of Ukrainian nationality, Nycz Mikołaj residing in the Wierzbna cluster, Jarosław district. After terrorizing the household members, they opened fire with machine guns, and as a result 8 people were killed, i.e.: Nycz Mikołaj, Nycz Maria, Nycz Julia, Nycz Karolina, Nycz Stanisław, Nycz Wasyl, Nycz Mirosław and Pasieczko Dymitr — a member of this family”.
