Tryńcza

February 11, 1946, Wólka Pełkińska — Fragments of the report of Jan Woś's testimony about the murders of Ukrainians in the Tryńcza area, written by mayor of Wólka Pełkińska:
Testimony 3: On February 1, 1946, at around 3 o'clock in the afternoon a man was walking through the country of the forest. I, too, was walking in the country of the forest with a rifle, I asked him where he was going and where. I suspected him to be Ukrainian, I asked for proof and his name was Stefan Romaniec and he had a photo of his wife and two children. I burnt the ID and the photo on the spot and took him into the bushes with violence, with a weapon, shot him with a German rifle and robbed him of PLN 1 and took his clothes off. Because of the small pit, I broke off his legs with a shovel and buried him naked in the Niechciałek forest”.

Tryńcza

(in the vicinity)

February 11, 1946, Wólka Pełkińska — Fragments of the report of Jan Woś's testimony about the murders of Ukrainians in the Tryńcza area, written by the mayor of Wólka Pełkińska:
Testimony 1: From the Tryńcza station there 3 people came, 1 woman and 2 men, they had paper packages with clothes, old ones, the better ones they wore. They walked through the forest by the railroad track. I attacked them with my colleague, partner Gliniak Władysław from Gorzyce, who, with a 9 mm revolver, with one shot in the head put everyone down, and we took off their clothes and threw them naked into the well.
Testimony 2: The Ukrainians were driving towards Jarosław on a few carts, and two people were walking about 200 meters behind. And I, too, with Gliniak Władysław (I had a German rifle and Gliniak a revolver), by force, with a gun in my hand, forcibly led these people to the Niechciałek forest. I shot these people with Gliniak's revolver, we robbed the woman 80 zlotys and the man 100 zlotys, and we burned the Kennkarte on the spot, and the corpses were not buried  […]
Ad 2nd testimony: I testify that the two women who were murdered by us, together with Gliniak Władysław: there was a third bandit with a rifle with us, a certain Kogut Franciszek from the Wola Buchowska and the fourth bandit, Rachwał Władysław from the Gorzyce. The four of us left in a wagon driven by Gliniak Jan, who followed the murdered people, that pulled a cart loaded with clothes and provisions, we took it all and shared it among ourselves
”.
