Terebień (Terebnie)
Fragment of memories of Stefan Terebieniec, born in in 1931 in the hamlet of Radawa Terebnie:
„I survived three fronts, but it was nothing compared to what awaited all of us in Terebnie after… the end of the war. The tragedy of Terebnia began in the early spring of 1945. It was connected with Wiązownica, the nearest village, quite large, inhabited mostly by Polish people […] The attack took place at night for the first time. Only 4‑5 farms were plundered, including ours. None of the inhabitants were killed because all of them had managed to hide. The bandits took everything that could fall into their hands. They even smashed kitchens and stoves, so they were bandits in the full sense of the word.
Later, the attacks intensified, they happened not only at night, but also during the day, because the attackers found out that we did not have self–defense. Only once, already in autumn, when a gang burst in and started firing, where our partisans and bandits came from, they immediately left everything and fled. Nevertheless, under the influence of a series of attacks that are difficult to count, the village was almost burnt down and somewhere 17 inhabitants were murdered, mostly the elderly and the sick. They did not manage to escape to the forest […]
We used to count our victims in a few. We counted 17, but we couldn't remember all the names anymore”.

Terebień (Terebnie)
Fragment of memories of Stefan Terebieniec, born in in 1931 in the hamlet of Radawa Terebnie:
„The second victim was also Skuratko, but Wasyl, father of six children. He did not live in Terebnie, but in Cetula, from where he came to pick us up. When he was returning, Poles from Radawa caught him, tied him to a tree, and stabbed him so much that he even stuck out his eyes. It took place at the beginning of March 1945. Our partisans caught the Poles who murdered the Skuratek and sentenced them”.

Terebień (Terebnie)
Polish translation of Mychajła Bochna's information about the murder of Ukrainians in the village of Radawa, included in the collection „Jarosław and Beyond the Sun river regions” from 1986:
„In mid–July 1944, the front moved west through our neighborhood, without fighting […] Less more after a month, the Polish administration began to be created, starting with the militia […] The Polish administration was getting stronger and more and more took its toll. It began with the arrests of more aware Ukrainians, those who were active during the German era, including young people. He was in prison and the author of these memoirs. The arrests were largely accidental. The real hell began in the early spring of 1945, when, apart from the militia or in partnership with them, various Polish gangs started to loot and rob and kill random people.
The first victim was Wasyl Bochno from Terebnia, whom Jan Tyran from Radawa tied to a tree and pierced with a bayonet. Later, two old men, Wac and Skuratko Iwan, died in Terebnie at the hands of the bands from Wiązownica”.

Terebień (Terebnie)
Fragment of an interview with Anna Mihus (maiden name Łobaz), b. December 13, 1927 in Cetula […] :
„— «My grandfather was Petryha, who was paralyzed before the war. He had 2 daughters and his son–in–law in France, thanks to them he built a brick stable, and everything was wooden, as it used to be. Before the war, my aunt died and my grandfather was paralyzed. Two old women in Terebnie were also paralyzed. Then [the attackers] brought them to the old house, to their grandfather, and set the house on fire. My grandfather and these women burned down».
— «Who did it?»
— «Who? Poles, who do you think?!»
— «Where did they come from?»
— «I don't know that anymore. I know they set fire to the house with them, they didn't run away. One of those old women was called Bacio».
— «And the second?»
— «I don't know the other one».
— «What about the rest of the people?»
— «The healthy ones fled, and the paralyzed ones were set on fire in their home»…
— «Other houses in Terebnie were also burned down?»
— «I will not say that. Terebnie was a little futor» […]
The attack on Terebnie took place on April 18, 1945. It was carried out by a bandit unit under the command of Bronisław Gliniak 'Radwan', policemen from the MO station in Wiązownica, refugees from the MO station in Radawa. Polish historians maintain that it was a retaliation for the UPA's action against the bandits in Wiązownica on April 17, 1945, but it is only related to time sequence — because its characteristics allow it to be placed in the earlier and later 'ordinary' murders of the 'Gliniak' gang”.
