Podczerniawa
Excerpt from the situational report of Petr Kawuzy 'Taras', the political clerk of the OUN 'Chłodny Jar' district, on the murder of Polish Army soldiers on a Ukrainian in Hołuczków:
„On January 18, 1946, Hołuczków and Siemuszowa were attacked by the Polish Army in the strength of 60 people, robbing a dozen or so Ukrainian hosts. Seven Polish soldiers ran into the hamlet of Podczerniawa, where five shooters from the 'B' squad were quartered. Three of them managed to escape immediately, the other two also escaped after a half–hour exchange of shots, but suffered wounds. In this hamlet [soldiers of the Polish Army] caught Roman Sikora who was hiding from Poles. They broke his hands, took him outside the house and shot him, saying that they had shot a Banderite major”.
