Excerpt from Ołeksander Kolańczuk's memoirs about the murder of Ukrainians from Chylin:
On May 15, Josyp Skubij and Anton Pekuła from Chylin, returning from Chełm  […] , were beaten by a unit of the NZS (National Armed Forces) in the village of Wierzbica and bearly alive were taken to the vicinity of the village of Kulik. Fate thereafter unknown”.
