After the German and Russian attack on Poland in 09.1939 and the beginning of World War II, after the start of the German occupation, during the Ukrainian genocide against Poles, known as the 'Volhynia', he remained favorable to Poles.
Murdered — pierced with a bayonet — the truth. by a Polish communist from the nearby village of Brzyska Wola, in retaliation for the murder of Fr. Błażej Nowosada (December 19, 1943 in the village of Potok Górny, c. 12 km away).
The murderers raided the presbytery and the bedroom.
According to Ukrainian sources, they demanded shoes and money.
When they did not receive them, they pulled him out of the house and shot him, shouting «You have Ukraine now».
According to the same Ukrainian sources, 19 more people were murdered in Dąbrowica that day
”.

Dąbrowica

Fragment of the report of interrogation of Jan Toth by the investigating officer of WUBP in Rzeszów about the murder of 4 Ukrainians in Dąbrowica by the NZW unit under his command:
In February 1945 I went with my gang to Dąbrowica, Jarosław Poviat, where on my order they were murdered 2 men and 2 women of Ukrainian nationality, whose names I do not remember, were fired from the machines. It seems to me that they were: February Teodor and his sister Luty Maria, and Ościak Stefan, and I cannot remember the name of the fourth woman. They were murdered in their apartments”.
