Fragment of the interrogation report of a member of the NSZ unit Marian Lipczak about the murder of a Ukrainian, Yevhen Skubisz from Chylin:
„I do not remember the date, but it was on Thursday in August 1945. I was at home, Stefan Stachowski, nom‑de‑guerre 'Spaniard' and [illegible] returning the TT pistol, but I replied that without [Eugeniusz Walewski's] order I could not give him 'Revenge' and we went to 'Revenge' together, he was like once at the Siedliszcze market. 'Revenge' asked me to give the gun to 'Spaniard' which I did and asked 'Revenge' what for. 'Revenge' replied that there was one from UB [Polish Commie–Nazi Security Services] and told 'Spaniard' to check the documents. Just to be sure that he would not run away, he ordered me to go. This individual was in the mill in Siedliszcze at that time. We went to the mill and I went upstairs and the 'Spaniard' stayed downstairs. Na, not finding him upstairs, I saw that the 'Spaniard' was checking his papers. I went over and asked 'Spaniard' if it was this one. He says yes. The papers were taken and 'Spaniard' slapped him with his hand in the face. It turned out from the documents that this individual was Skubisz Eugeniusz from the village of Chylin, Olchowiec commune, Chełm district, and his father served in UB in Chełm. We took him and led him behind Siedliszcze in the direction of Majdan Zahorodyński, to a field, about 300 meters from the road, and there 'Spaniard' shot him in the back of the head. Once it fell over, and the second time it shot in the back of the head. We forbade Grzesiuk Zygmunt to bury him and bury him, having previously taken his jacket and shoes from him […] The murder was carried out on the order of 'Revenge'. About the presence of Skubisz Eugeniusz someone from the MO officers in Siedliszcze was supposed to have known, as he told 'Spaniard'”.
