The 2nd Battalion of 28th Infantry Regiment fought a fierce fight with sotnya 'Burłak', losing 3 soldiers killed and 5 wounded. The following people died, among others: Private 1st Class Stanisław Pogodziński, so. Leon, b. 1922 in Gorazdów and Private Józef Rozumek (Rózumek), so. Antoni, b. 1925 in Gawłów. Of the 5 wounded soldiers, Lt. Eugeniusz Kołodziej, so. Ireneusz, b. 1925 in Prnjavor (Yugoslavia), soon died in hospital.
