general info

Górki

In the village of Górki, in the district of Brzozów, the UPA murdered the mayor of the village, Julian Winczowki:
I am contacting you regarding the events of January 6, 1946. I was browsing your website about the UPA murders of Poles in the war and post‑war period and I was surprised by the lack of information about the murder of Julian Winczowski, the village leader of Górki (near Brzozów). There was neither event nor name on the list of victims. This is my great–grandfather, my grandfather, who died a few years ago, told me how he personally had seen the murder in his own home at the age of 17. Please complete this information on the website. This information was given in the Podkarpacie newspaper in the 1980s or 1990s”.
