Orzechowce
1950 November 29, Przemyśl — Fragment of the report of the interrogation of suspect Jan Dźwierzyński by Stanisław Jędrys, the investigating officer of the WUBP in Rzeszów:
„Question: —«Explain the activities of the BCh [Peasants' Battalions] organization after the liberation of Poland» […]
Answer: —« […] In June 1945, I received an order from Kisiel Roman to organize actions in the village of Orzechowce. So, according to this command, I organized an action in which I myself took part as the commander of this action and from the Orły group were attended by Łuczyk Antoni, Fabian, Koba Dominik, Gałuszka Stanisława, Anioł Franciszek, Lichtarski Franciszek, Wolekiewicz Andrzej, Balawender Józef, Jędrzejec Eugeniusz and other people who were stationed in Orly, they came from the eastern territories […] We did not find anyone, because as I said to Głogowski Tomasz, Lenar Antoni, that there would be an action there, and because they were related to the Ukrainians, they informed them and all [the Ukrainians] went to the station in Żurawica […] Then, on my order, Machowski Józef, Majchrowicz Janina, Sołecki Wacław and Zbyszek, who came from Łódź, whose surname is unknown to me, went in order to beat Kot Józef for maintaining contacts and communing with a Ukrainian woman who was a Gestapo agent, and her father was the organizer of the SS in the Orzechowce commune, so after upon arrival, they delivered 25 hits with stick to t stick to the said Kot and at the same time found the Ukrainian woman, shot her, and took her wardrobe»”.
