In the book on the province stanisławowski Siekierka. reports that on March 12 or 20, 1944 the UPA murdered 18 Poles in the hamlet of Wołos–Żebracze, county Nadwórna.

Żubracze

In the village of Żubracze, poviat Lesko: „On May 30, there was an attack on Polish inhabitants of the village of Żubracze, during which the former policeman Wilhelm Woźnica was abducted”. In the footnote of Syrnyk's work there is information that he was on the list of Polish MO and SB [Security Forces] officers killed in the fight against UPA gangs.
