The UPA murdered 53 Poles: they drowned 23 of those abducted from Lesko in the slurry; 4 families from Żernica Wyżna (16 people); 3 families from Żernica (12 people) and 2 young Poles.

J. Keller in his account to Grzegorz Motyce claims that the UPA drove 23 Poles from Lesko and buried them alive in a slurry in Żernica, while during the massacre of a small hamlet near Hoczwia, they crucified small children on the walls. Motyka states that these „accounts raise” doubts.
