Another exile from the eastern borderlands of Poland – Władysław Pachołek – found a substitute home in Charbowo. He, or rather his family, was also a victim of the Ukrainian genocide. Mr. Władysław came from the vicinity of Zbaraż. The UPA murderers forced him to watch as they cruelly murder his wife and children (impaled them on the fence fence), and when he asked them to kill him, they laughed derisively and let him free so that he would suffer more.
