Kureń „Zalizniaka” liquidated 18 posts of the Civic Militia, 30 militiamen were killed and 10 were abducted and murdered. From 43 to 72 people of the Polish civilian population were murdered. These were posts in the following towns: Dzików Stary, Podemszczyzna, Horyniec, Zalesie, Basznia Dolna, Łówcza, Futory, Nowa Grobla, Brusno Nowe, Krowica, Puchacze, Chotylub, Wólka Horyniecka, Zapałów, Bichale, Łaszki, Płazów, and Cewków.

The Ukrainians murdered 6 Poles, while 2 Polish women died of confusion of senses, seeing the cruelty of their torturers. Others: In the village of Zalesie, on the night of March 27–28, 1945, the following were murdered by: Franciszek Bisa, born in 1888, Katarzyna Bis b. 1880, Marcin Stec b. 1909, Józefa Kornafela s. Marcin born 1906, Franciszka Okojew, 42, Teodora Skiba, 48. Moreover, Maria Kordas, 60, suffered a nervous shock during the attack and died on June 1, 1945 in the hospital.
