At the end of December 1945, the UPA from the sotnya „Chrina” kidnapped about 15 Poles, who were then murdered by the Bezpeky OUN Service. „When on December 19 [1945] the Polish army captured «Derkacz» (NN) in Zahutyń, partisans «Chrin» abducted a dozen Poles demanding the exchange of prisoners. When it did not take place, the Poles were handed over to the SB, which probably meant the death sentence”.
