Ukrainian policemen escaped from the German service and murdered two Poles: the manager of the estate, Jan Figel, and the organist, Józef Łebkowski. They tied them up with barbed wire, poked out their eyes, peeled off their nails, cut off their limbs and stabbed them with knives.

Zabłoćce
„Ukrainian rebels” from the Martyniuk group of UPA under the command of Ivan Kitty and local Ukrainian peasants burst into the church during the mass. While murdering the 74‑year‑old parish priest Józef Aleksandrowicz, a former prisoner of the Bolsheviks, they mocked: „May Polish God save you”. In front of the faithful, they broke his neck and murdered at least 78 Poles. The boy (Henryk Serwetowski) ripped his mouth open because before his death he shouted: „Long live Poland”. Baroque church of St. The Trinity from 1760–1773 was destroyed and the presbytery was burnt. After the slaughter, the Ukrainians brought stolen Polish property to the Orthodox Church and barns.
