Wygranka
Around At 3 am, distant shots were heard and Poles escaping from Gurów were noticed. The attack immediately followed, among the attackers the acquaintances of The Ukrainians from Wygrani and Gurów, with whom „had been adjacent to”, were recognized. Poles were tortured, women were raped, killed with axes, forks, knives, etc. After the slaughter, in the afternoon, their property was plundered. At least 157 Poles were murdered. The next day, the Germans from Sokal came for an inspection. In the first houses they encountered, among others. for a two‑year‑old child put on a pitchfork and put in the window, the other had a shovel inserted in the stomach, which supported the door. They gave up the inspection of the rest of the farms, took pictures and left. Three days after the attack, the Ukrainians burnt the colony, the bodies were burnt in the buildings. The bodies of those murdered outside their homes were spread across the fields by hungry dogs.

Jerzy Krasowski recalls: „In the first building we found a shocking view, a picture of a few‑year‑old boy stuck on a sharp pole by the gate. On the fence there was an inscription «Litak Sikorskoho» [Polish PM Sikorski, who perished in Gibraltar, airplane]”.
