The UPA and local The Ukrainians (including Sanetskyj and Kruk) murdered 46 Poles aged 1 to 82 – two pits with their bodies are located several meters from the Polish–Ukrainian border on the Ukrainian side, next to the border marker No. 747. „W Good Friday, April 6, 1944, a group of Ukrainian nationalists attacked the village of Vorokhta. at least 30 Poles were shot in the local farm. after the execution, their bodies were pushed into a previously prepared pit. a few months later, their grave was in the border zone. according to witnesses, the youngest victim was only one year old. Some of the victims were also buried in nearby Tarnoszyn (during the war, the murders in this village were carried out by Ukrainian police officers and members of the UPA). as determined by the Institute of National Remembrance, for complicity in committing the crime in Tarnoszyn in October 1978 he was sentenced to death by a court in Zamość, Iwan M. aka Jan M. The investigation into the crime in Worokhta is conducted by the IPN investigative division. «In the course of the investigation, evidence was collected regarding the pacification of the village of Vorokhta, which took place on April 6, 1944. The perpetrators of the crime, among other things, shot dozens of people whose bodies were thrown into the previously prepared» pit – describes Dorota Cebrat, head of the investigative division of the Wrocław branch of the Institute of National Remembrance”.

The Ukrainians spent all of them in one house, says Helena Górnicka, born in '38, a former resident of Worochta, who now lives in Machnówek. – We managed to escape at the last moment. Her grandparents, Franciszka and Eliasz Skopik, were not so lucky. The UPA also murdered their four children. – My uncles and aunts. Władysław, Michał, Katarzyna, Anna – lists Helena. – Some they buried alive because the earth was moving for three days  […] There are two graves. – They killed the young near the farm, the older ones near the moat, where the dead animals were previously buried – says Helena.

During the „regulation” of the border in 1951, Vorokhta was to belong to Poland. Stanisław Wójtowicz tells us: „The border was already cut by the forest. Some commission in three cars came. Russian walked about 100 meters and says: «Nada tuta» [It should be here]. They cut the other belt and Vorokhta also went to the other side. You had to get out”.

Worochta

Excerpt from the report of t'Hrisha', he SB OUN employee about the murder of 2 Ukrainians in Worokhta by Poles from Bełz:
On February 8, 1945 at 4.30 pm, Poles were walking from the village of Tuszków towards the village of Worochta. About 50 people were walking along the ditches, and the local Pole Sprawło (from Vorokhta) fired incendiary bullets at the village. As they approached the village, they set up detectors from the village of Budynin, and four went to the village. They shot at people escaping from the village into the field  […] The Poles went to Łyszuk Onufrij, led him out of the house onto the road, then started beating him and stabbing him with a bayonet. He fell into a ditch, they kept hitting him and shot him several times. They thought he was dead, they left him. Meanwhile, he was only wounded in the hand  […] Eight hours later, Łyszuk Onufrij died. They also shot 18‑year‑old boy Antoszek Mykola when he was driving the horses out of the stables. Ciągło Janek jumped up to him and with the words
— «There you have what you deserve»
he fired a pistol straight in the forehead  […] The Poles left towards Tuszków to Bełz
