On the way to Demidówka, the UPA captured Father Jerzy Cimiński, 28, a parish priest from Łysiny, and Fr Hieronim Szczerbicki, 33, the parish priest of the Tesłuha parish: they both – either alive or after murder – were thrown into a 19–meter–deep well and covered with earth and stones, in June 1944, Rev. Stanisław Mazak tried to recover the bodies of the priests, and in the middle of the well he reached the burnt corpse of an unknown person, but he had to stop his work due to the threat of UPA bands and these bodies are still there.
