Excerpt from Stepan Golasz 'Mar', the situational report of the OUN reporter from the 'Beskid' district about the murder of Polish Army soldiers in the Ukrainian in Wola Matiaszowa:
„On February 22, 1946, 80 soldiers of the Polish Armed Forces from Baligród went through Żernica to Bereźnica Wyższa. They arrested two men and went to Wola Matiaszowa, where they killed Osyp Popowycz, and injured one [inhabitant of the village]”.
