IPN Wrocław S 6/02 / Zi – investigation into crimes committed by Ukrainian nationalists in the area of Trembowla, province. Tarnopolskie, in 1939—1945, In Wierzbowiec, on the night of March 19—20, 1944, gangs surrounded the Polish part of the village and burnt it down. and the inhabitants who did not manage to hide, including women and children, were killed by the attackers using firearms and sharp tools, while harassing the victims.
