general info
Uzin
My grandmother miraculously survived such a slaughter in Uzin near Stanisławów – now Iwano–Frankivsk. A Ukrainian family hid them from the Banderites. When they returned to their home, they saw what the UPA had done – animals with their throats slashed, windows broken, sheets torn in the mud outside, and farms set on fire next to them. They were lucky. Unfortunately, many Poles from Uzin do not.
