They once caught a Polish woman in a nearby forest. They tied four horses to her legs and arms, and then began lashing them with a whip. In this way, they tore it apart. Her husband found her. The next day he was taking her to the cemetery and passing our house. We went out on the road. It's hard to describe this man's despair. He showed us a small box made of four boards and covered with a sheet. Mom asked him to discover. When I saw what was inside I thought I would topple over. Sorry about that comparison, but it looked like a butcher counter.
