The Ukrainians with Germans burned down many Polish farms and killed 28 Poles. „On June 13, 1944, the Germans, together with the Ukrainian nationalists in German service, pacified the village. During this action, they killed 28 Poles and burned down a dozen farms. The following names of the murdered were established: Kazimierz Derylak (45), Janina Flis (34), Józef Flis (21), Stanisław Flis (26), Andrzej Garbacz (28), Ludwik Garbacz (26), Roman Garbacz (21), Antoni Kiszka (40), Józef Kiszka (21), Marcin Kiszka (45), Wojciech Kiszka (45), Andrzej Małek (24), Wojciech Małek (23), Władysław Małek (22), Józef Pawlos (21), the second Józef Pawlos (55), Kazimierz Pawlos (36), Tomasz Pawlos (60), Agnieszka Startek (45), Bronisław Startek (16), Jan Startek (50), Jan Startek (51), Katarzyna Startek (7), Stefan Startek (28), Stefania Startek (23), Leon Szczepaniak (18), Jan Szewc (38), Ignacy Szwedo (50). The bodies of the victims were buried at the local” cemetery.
