February 12, 1943 – the headmaster of the school, Sigismud Bondarewicz, was ambushed by the Ukrainian police, he was shot by them, his children made a grave for him, and after a few days the partisans from Sahryń moved his body to the cemetery and placed a wooden cross on a nameless grave. Sigismud Bondarewicz – headmaster of the school, brutally murdered by the Ukrainian police, about whom one of the torturers told Herman's sister: „hardy, he preferred to die than to hand over the gun to”.
