In the second half of 1943, the following people were murdered outside the village: Dudek (name NN, male) from Trościaniec Wielki and Śliwiński Antoni, a forester.

Trościaniec Wielki
The Śliwiński Pole, a forester, was murdered by the Ukrainians on the way from Brzeżany to Trościaniec. The murder was carried out in the forest between Kotów and Trościaniec.

On August 14 this year. disappeared without a trace Antoni Śliwiński, 36, manager of the Trościaniec forestry, Potutory commune, county Brzeżany, married and father of 2 children. He took his family to Brzeżany for permanent residence and, after installing it in the city, that day in the evening at At 18 he left Brzeżany in his own carriage, alone through Potutory, Rybniki, Kotów to Trościaniec. On the way between Kotów and Trościaniec, he disappeared with a horse and a cart. The search initiated by the criminal police has so far yielded no results.
