The Ukrainians shot 5 Poles: a blacksmith and 4 people from the family of the administrator of the property of the Krzemieniec Lyceum, Jan Ciepielewski. „Both his parents, his younger brother Tadeusz, were brutally murdered there, his wife was raped, then shot, and finally he was shot several times. The wife was then rescued and survived until the end of the war, and unfortunately he died a few days later in the hospital in Krzemieniec”.

On March 19, 1943 at At 21.30 6 bandits in peasant clothes with rifles and reprimands came to the apartment. He was recognized by the husband of two Ukrainian militiamen who escaped (on 17 March) from Kremenets. The rest, according to all data, were recruited from peasants from the surrounding villages. They tied my husband Leon with his brother Tadeusz and ordered everyone (ie the steward Kucewicz Jan, parents Regina and Leon Czepielowski) to lie on the floor. After a rather cursory look at the apartment, they took some personal belongings, my husband took a signet ring, a wedding ring and a wallet with documents. About an hour later, two farm carts (stolen) arrived and then the two bound ones and Kucewicz were ordered to leave. Kucewicz left calmly, kicked and imagined, got on the cart. The husband and Tadzik did not want to get in, and the bandit shot him 4 times, but the weapon failed. Then the whole group, because my parents and I had left, went back to the porch, a series of deaths were fired for the parents, my husband and Tadzik were only injured. I ran to the room to tie my neck, when everything calmed down, I went to untie the wounded, then a bandit appeared, saying: „you s/o a bitch is still alive”, he aimed a reprimand at me, fortunately there was a dud. I disappeared into the darkened room, hearing the series of shots fired at the group of lying people. When I came to the murdered after a few minutes, my parents were dead, Tadzik had his head butted, and my husband had three shots in the stomach. Tadzik died after arriving at the hospital (at 0.30), her husband died on the night of 21/22 March. Kucewicz Jan, escorted by some bandit with a rifle, took advantage of his inattention, escaped to the cemetery and from there to Krzemieniec.
