Probably on August 30, Iwan Paciuk, a UPA sotnik from the area of the village of Sokół, a former gamekeeper, together with his son Wasyl, murdered the family. Matyszczuków. Jan Matyszczuk, 40, was stabbed with pitchforks and then cut to pieces, his wife Janina was stabbed with pitchforks, and their children: 16‑year‑old Stefan, 14‑year‑old Weronika and 8‑year‑old Jan were hacked with axes. Two days later, they murdered the second Polish family – the Mordaczów. Stefan Mordacz, 48, was hacked with an ax, his wife Stefania was stabbed with a bayonet, and their two children, 8‑year‑old Maria and 6‑year‑old Jan, were hanged on hooks in the kitchen.

The UPA murdered the 4–person Mordacz family: Stefan Mordacz, around 48 (hacked with an ax), his wife Stefania (stabbed with a bayonet), and their two children: Maria, 8, and Jana, 6, hung on hooks in the kitchen. The farm was burnt down. The perpetrator of the murder was Iwan Paciuk, a UPA sotnik from the area of the village of Sokół, a former gamekeeper, together with his son Wasyl.
