The Ukrainians murdered 3 Poles: Stanisław Karczewski, Franciszek Sulikowski and Stanisław Myszakowski, s/o Piotr. „Stanisław Karczewski was related through his marriage to the Horoszkiewicz family. So Horoszkiewicze from Omelanka went to collect his body. They found him crucified on a field pear tree, his arms and legs tied to the branches with barbed wire. It was evident that before his death he suffered a terrible suffering. He went to cultivate the field to plant potatoes. The late told me about it. Stanisław Horoszkiewicz s. Cyprian, d. in Stary Żagań, he pulled him off that cross, «his cross». The cadets were among the great forests. The population left them in April 1943, moving to Huta Stepańska. However, she returned to grow pots, and not everyone returned to Huta Stepańska for the night. The final trial was organized by the Bandera followers on May 4, 1943. The population, warned by the d/o a Ukrainian friend, managed to escape just before the approaching Banderites. The approaching Banderites saw the fleeing inhabitants, seeing Franciszek Sulikowski escaping, they shouted «Franek, don't run away, come back, you don't recognize us, don't be silly, come back», Franek believed and came back, no one saw Frank anymore. The Banderites waited until Bloody Night on July 17, 1943 with the burning of Tchors, but earlier they dismantled the houses, but at first they were completely stripped of all equipment ”. .
