On 14/15 December, at night, 5 armed men stormed the Rapała forester in Szutreminiec and were to demand horses. When the horses were harnessed, the bandits, before leaving, murdered the forester and his 22‑year‑old nephew – a Liegenschaft worker in Szutremińce, who lived with his uncle. Rapała left 4 orphans with no supplies.
