The UPA and Ukrainian policemen who escaped from the German service dragged out and murdered at least 3 Poles, 2 The Ukrainians and 1 Czech; The Pole, Jan Unold, had burned out eyes, a cross on his chest and a face mutilated with an ax. Others: „Four Polish” families were murdered in Szumsk.
