1980 February 11, Rzeszów — Fragment of a card for the deed of members of the Home Army unit from the 'Warta' group on 10 people of Ukrainian nationality in Szklary:
„In the first half of June 1945, on the order of 'Zych', a band under the command of [Edward] Carpenter nom‑de‑guerre 'Zabawa' at the Przeworsk–Dynów railway station in Szklary, Rzeszów poviat — attacked a narrow–gauge railway. After terrorizing the train crew, the gang began to penetrate the train, abduct 10 people of Ukrainian nationality from the wagon, including: 5 men, 3 women, 2 children aged 12‑15 years, who were returning to their homes, from where they were deported to forced labor in Germany. After robbing these people of their property, the bandits took them to a nearby forest, where they were all shot”.
