Clash at Sucharami (Retaliation for Szczuczyn) – a fight conducted by the company of 2nd Lt. Jan Wasiewicza „Lion” from the 1st Battalion of the 77th Infantry Regiment of the Home Army on May 16, 1944 with a German–Ukrainian unit. As a result of the clash, 37 German and Ukrainian and 8 Polish soldiers were killed.
