Stechnikowce
In the village of Stechnikowce, one of the Ukrainians had a Polish wife and two daughters with her. At the end of 1943, he received a letter from the UPA Bandera followers, in which he was ordered to immediately kill his wife and both daughters for being Polish. Husband and father – the Ukrainian did not obey this order. So he received another letter with an order and threats, but he did not obey the order a second time. Some time later he received a third letter with similar content, with a warning that if he did not do it himself, others would do it. After that third letter, he already knew the killers were coming. He then sharpened his ax, not to obey an order, but to defend himself. A few days later, during the night, someone started pounding hard on the door, so he grabbed the ax and stood in the hallway outside the door. When the door was breached, the first murderer burst in, and the host–defender hit him with all his might with the blade of the ax. The attacker fell, followed by the second. The same thing happened to him. There were no more attackers. Then the host lit a lamp to see the Bandera followers. And he saw the bodies of his father and brother.

A Ukrainian, Danyło Chemij, received a letter from the provincial of the OUN or from the commander of the UPA, ordering him to kill his wife, a Pole, and their two daughters, because they were Polish. He did not, and received two more letters threatening others to do so. He prepared to defend himself. When two attackers broke down the door at night, he hit it with an ax. He lit the lamp and saw that it was his father and brother.

Stechnikowce
In the evening a few armed bandits came to Michał Snihor, who lived in the colony. They asked the hostess to prepare a nice dinner. This one fed the newcomers whatever she could. When they ate, they thanked them and rested for a while. When it got dark outside, one of the Banderites said: „and teper birim sia for the robot”. They shot a woman and two daughters, and the wounded farmer fell down and lost consciousness. The attackers set fire to the house and left. When Michał Snihur regained consciousness, he got out of the burning house and rushed to run into the field. The Banderites noticed him and fired a few shots, fortunately not on target.
