In January 1943, Ukrainian policemen with the Germans arrested about 250–300 Poles in Stary Sambor, Felsztyn, Chyrów and Turka. At the beginning of February, they were taken to Lviv, and from there in a transport of about 800 people, to the concentration camp at Majdanek, which survived several people.

16 / 17.9. Stary Sambor. An armed robbery, a robbery attack on a pharmacy in Stary Sambor. Murdered: mother of the pharmacist Gritowska [?] Aged 70, cousin of the pharmacist NN aged 30.

In Stary Sambor, Mr Grotowski's pharmacy was again attacked. After looting the movable property, the gang kidnapped the mother and wife of the said pharmacist. The corpses of the abductees were then found massacred in the nearby forest.
