Stara Sól

The echoes of the murder of the Lisikiewicz spouses, who lived in the hamlet of Wały ad Starasól on the night of May 29–30 this year, and the night of June 1–2 this year, have only faded away. it becomes the scene of fresh murder and plunder. During the critical night, two individuals armed with rifles attacked the estate of a certain Czarnik, living in Wałach ad Starasól. After terrorizing the inhabitants, the bandits demanded to give them grain. As the grain was in the attic, they called Czarnik's attackers to show them the place in the attic where the grain was stored. Following this call, Czarnik went to the attic, followed by those bandits. After a while, a shot rang out in the attic, from which, as Czarnik's wife later found out, Czarnik fell. After the murder of Czarnik, the attackers took the grain and left in an unknown direction. Apart from these two individuals, there were more of them and where they came from, it has not been established. It should be assumed that the perpetrators must have been the Ukrainians, who murdered Czarnik out of revenge. Czarnik was of the Greek Catholic religion, but he always marked his affiliation to the Polish nation. He had a Polish wife and baptized all three of his children according to the Roman Catholic rite.
