On April 6, 1944, Holy Thursday, I went to sleep in my hiding place in the attic, and my wife, with my children and younger sisters, stayed in the apartment. For a long time, a Ukrainian policeman from the local police station came to my house quite often. The visits were social and even friendly. I liked him, I believed in his friendly attitude towards me. We were united by common interests. When that tragic Thursday night fell, someone suddenly knocked vigorously on the front door. My wife came to the door and asked: „who's knocking?”. She heard the familiar voice of this policeman. She opened it for him without hesitation and asked what happened that he was coming so late. In response, she was hit with a rifle butt and fell fainting. Then the policeman killed her with a rifle shot. My 5‑year‑old son, scared by this sight, hid imperceptibly behind the couch and he witnessed this bloody scene. The policeman, who was followed by two or three murderers, ordered the other people, that is Maria, Krystyna and the two children, to line up. My three‑year‑old son turned to the policeman: „If you want money, I will give you” and took a zloty out of his pocket. Then one of the tormentors grabbed the child by the legs and smashed its head against the wall. Then others shot both my wife's younger sisters and my 6‑year‑old daughter. After the murder, the murderers robbed the apartment. After some time, my daughter recovered from the shot she received and started to cry, asking for a drink. Then the policeman burst into the room and, seeing that the child was alive, finished it with a bayonet.

On the night of April 6–7 this year. a large gang, including presumably escaped Ukrainian policemen, surrounded the hamlet of Mosberg, the commune of Bruchnal [Jaworów], after which, as we know, about 25 people were kidnapped. The names of the abductees are not known so far.

In the next attack, they burned down 10 Polish farms and murdered 20 Poles. „On 21 May. A Ukrainian gang attacked the German village of Mosberg [Jaworów] and burned down about 10 houses inhabited by the Polish population. Number of victims unknown. No harm was done to the German inhabitants of this village. On May 21 the Polish population living in Mużyłowice, Antoniówka next to Mosberg, under the influence of threats from the immediate neighbors of Ukrainian nationality, fled to the nearby community of Rydatycze and was preparing to leave for San”.

Myrosław Onyszkewycz „Orest Karat” gave the order: „I order you to purge your area immediately from the Polish element and Ukrainian–Bolshevik agents. The purge should be carried out in riverside hostels sparsely populated by Poles. To this end, create a militia near the area, composed of our members, whose task would be to eliminate the above–mentioned. Our larger hostels will be cleared of this element by our military units even in broad daylight  […] The clearing of the area must be completed before our Easter so that we can celebrate it without Poles. Remember that when the Bolsheviks find us with Poles in our territory, they will slaughter us all  […] Make a hard, ruthless fight with them. Not to spare anyone, even in mixed marriages. To take Lachs out of their houses, but The Ukrainians and children in these houses should not be liquidated  […] Get the gun. Death to the Poles. Stop, April 6, 1944. Glory to the heroes! Orest, Karat” This order is in the files of the investigation against Myroslav Onyshhevych.
