Słobódka Konkolnicka

The Banderites murdered 103 Poles, from an infant (5–month–old) to an old man (69‑year‑old). Around 23.00, the attackers came from the side of the mountain adjacent to the village. The population, mainly women and children, sought help by hiding in cellars and shelters, while the men fled to the surrounding fields. The Ukrainians killed the people they encountered, regardless of their sex and age, using knives, bayonets and axes, while the escaping people were shot at. At the same time, property was robbed; looted houses were set on fire. Many people died in flames or as a result of suffocation.
