Kunicki Jan, 44, was murdered. „My grandfather, Jan Kunicki, left Siworoga with the family and stayed in a safe place. When the front moved to the Vistula, in October 1944 he returned to his home village to see what was happening there and for the nuts, he said. It seemed to him that times were calmer and that he was safe. But he never came back to his family. According to my grandmother's inhabitants of Siworóg, my grandfather was caught by the Bandera followers, along with other people, and murdered with a knife. The victims screamed and begged the bandits not to kill them with these words: – Iwas, do not kill me, we, our peoples! (Iwas, don't kill me, we are our people). Grandfather's requests were useless. He was killed and we don't even know where he is buried”.
