Excerpt from Ivan Stefanowycz Żdan's memoirs about the murder of 2 Ukrainians in Sieniawka by soldiers of the Polish Army:
March 9, 1945 became a day of a deeply carved wound in the heart of every inhabitant of Sieniawka  […] As Warwara Wtorak, then a witness of these events, recalls, that day Danył Łysa from the Kapłysze hamlet was buried. After the funeral, they went to the presbytery of Fedir Kulmatycki, Petro Melnyk and my uncle Hryhorij Biłecki, who was a church assistant and gravedigger. Someone reported that something was attracting the Tymoszes to the church, but no one paid any attention to it. After a few moments, the Poles broke into the house, took Kulmatycki and Melnyk with them, and led them behind the church. Shots rang out. In a moment, the Poles returned with the shoes of the dead in their hands. The third Pole ran home and took Biłecki with him. He led him to the place where two dead bodies were already lying, he came from the back and fired at Biłecki, took off his shoes and followed his own. However, the shot was inaccurate and Biłecki regained consciousness”.

Excerpt from Ivan Kuryła's memoirs about the murder of Ukrainians in Sieniawka by soldiers of the Polish Army:
I remember March 9 as if it were yesterday. I was 16 then. The day started, as always, with breakfast, and then my brother–in–law and I started weaving the ropes. A neighbor came, saying that the Polish army was making a manhunt for the forest. We didn't pay much attention to it and continued our work. We lived in the center of the village, the hamlet of Tymusza was in front of us. We looked this way: Tymusza was already on fire. Poles are going to Żdany through the fields, Żdany are already on fire. There are fires all around, the crying of children, the roar of cattle, at the mention of this, and now I am overwhelmed by fear. Several Poles also approached us in the yard. After shooting the dog, they said:
— «You have a horse, put it in the cart! Get the cows out! You will come with us».
The brother‑in‑law led the horse, I led the cows. They ordered us to go to the end of the village. The Poles walking in front were taking the farmers' horses, cows and everything they liked: linen, sheepskin coats, shoes. Those who walked behind were setting everything alightr and murdering. 27 people were killed then by the Polish murderers  […] In our neighborhood, 3 people were killed. Andrij Żdan was shot near the house, he go charred; Mykoła Żdan was shot in the pasture, and Josifa Kuryło was stabbed by a Pole with a bayonet on the doorstep of the house, where she also burned down
”.

Fragment of Maria Wasyluszko's memoirs about the murder of Ukrainians in Sieniawka by soldiers of the Polish Army:
On March 9, 1945, Polish soldiers attacked the village and it was a terrible day for the inhabitants of [Sieniawka]. Over 24 people of all ages and even children were killed then at the hands of bandits. That day in village there was a funeral. Polish nonhumans encountered a procession near the church. Cruelly, until he lost the possibility of movement, they beat up Fr Kondracki, and Fedor Kulmatycki, Petr Gudzia, and Ivan Kowalski they killed near the entrance to the church. Hryhorij Biłecki was seriously injured.
The misfortune then came to the family of Marija and Jurij Kulmatycki. Marija' father, Iwan Kowalski, was killed near the church, and her husband, Yuri, was led out of the house and shot us in the yard. Orphans were left: 2‑year‑old Olha and 3‑week‑old Stefanija.
Having lost their mind and mercy, Polish soldiers destroyed the family of Hanna and Fedor Barefoot: passing by their house, a soldier threw a grenade inside. In the house with the hosts there were 4 more people who came to alleviate each other's misfortune. The blast killed everyone except her daughter, Marija, who was thrown back into the corner by the blast. She fell over her mother's breasts, began to cry bitterly, scream loudly. Hearing these screams, the soldier entered the house and pierced the child's breast with a bayonet  […] The seven victims who died at home were buried in a common grave near the church belfry
”.
