The Banderites murdered two nuns. They were: Stefania Matylda Ustianowicz (sister Zofia, whom they cut with a saw) and Maria Wanda Szembek (sister Laetitia from God's Love), who were returning from the convent in Jazłowiec to Niżniów. Their massacred bodies were found in November in the woods. Their coachman, Antoni Blicharski from Nowosiółka, and probably Katarzyna Szczerbata – a former monastery employee, whose body has not been found, were also bestially murdered.
