The investigation into the crime of genocide committed in April 1944 in the village of Łachowce and other localities of the Lublin Province, involving the murder of about 60 people by Ukrainian nationalists who, by committing these acts, acted to destroy the Polish national group (S.81 / 08 / Zi). In the course of the ongoing preparatory proceedings, activities were carried out which allowed to establish that in the period between April 4 and April 9, 1944 in Radków, Ukrainian nationalists, in an unknown manner, most likely by firing at the injured or by using bayonets or other sharp tools, killed about 20 civilians of Polish nationality. It was found that in these circumstances the following deaths were killed: Katarzyna and Marcin spouses Ś., Wacław K., Justyna K., Jan Sz. with his wife and their daughter Helena, moreover people named G., Cz. and Sz., Stanisław K. with his daughter, Władysława N. with his mother, Zofia N. Moreover, on April 9, 1944 and on the following days in Łachowce and Budynin, the attackers similarly murdered about 40 people, including Julia J., Stefan J., Wiktoria B., Jadwiga B., Stanisław C., Franciszka C., Łukasz C., Marianna K., Katarzyna W., Franciszek Ś., Marian Ś., Stanisław N., Franciszek N., Franciszek K., Katarzyna K., Władysława K., Władysława G., a woman named Stefania, Franciszka K., Ksenia K., Tadeusz K., Marianna G., Irena G., Katarzyna S., Janina K., Bernadeta C., Marianna H., Irena H., Jan G. and Katarzyna G. The evidence did not allow for the identification of the responsibility of specific persons, which resulted in the necessity to discontinue the investigation into all acts against the failure to identify the perpetrators.

Myrosław Onyszkewycz „Orest Karat” gave the order: „I order you to purge your area immediately from the Polish element and Ukrainian–Bolshevik agents. The purge should be carried out in riverside hostels sparsely populated by Poles. To this end, create a militia near the area, composed of our members, whose task would be to eliminate the above–mentioned. Our larger hostels will be cleared of this element by our military units even in broad daylight […] The clearing of the area must be completed before our Easter so that we can celebrate it without Poles. Remember that when the Bolsheviks find us with Poles in our territory, they will slaughter us all […] Make a hard, ruthless fight with them. Not to spare anyone, even in mixed marriages. To take Lachs out of their houses, but The Ukrainians and children in these houses should not be liquidated […] Get the gun. Death to the Poles. Stop, April 6, 1944. Glory to the heroes! Orest, Karat” This order is in the files of the investigation against Myroslav Onyshhevych.
