The UPA and local and local The Ukrainians murdered at least 102 Poles using various tools, after being tortured. In the following days, they murdered a few more Poles who managed to hide during the slaughter. Earlier, the Ukrainians forbade Poles to leave the village. Single murders have taken place since the beginning of July, incl. A 26‑year‑old girl was abducted and tortured. „Warta” was performed by local young The Ukrainians over the Poles. On July 15, two UPA gangs entered the village and the slaughter began when the commander was shot. Bestial rape and torture lasted all night and the entire next day. „The Ukrainian partisan” killed Stanisław Kolan and six of his grandchildren, Aleksander's children, whom he first killed with a knife and then smashed their heads with an ax. Władysław Kolman with his wife Helena and their five children were murdered by their Ukrainian neighbors.
