Orthodox feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary: during the pilgrimage ceremony in the Orthodox Church, the Pope consecrated axes, knives and other tools to the crime, after which the Ukrainians murdered one Pole. The next, they were used on „of the proclaimed” lachies during the slaughter of over a thousand Poles in the villages of Ostrów and Wola Ostrowiecka. In the sermon, he spoke of the „harvest and the cutting of tares from” wheat.
