Polanica
[The Ukrainians] abducted 5 Polish families of 15 people from the forest inspectorate and, after brutal torture, murdered all: 4 men, 3 women and 8 children aged from 1 to 16; „Children were killed in front of their parents by smashing their heads against a wall or by tearing bellies alive”.

The forester (certified Forestry Engineer) Stanisław Skórecki was murdered together with his son. „For two days, the forester's lodge was besieged and stormed by armed The Ukrainians (most formerly punished for poaching and theft of wood), when the forester and the heroic 10‑year‑old son ran out of ammunition, they stormed inside, murdering household members”.

Polanica
The Banderites kidnapped the forest inspectorate employees with their families to the forest and brutally murdered 15 Poles there; including 3 men, the rest are women and children from 1 year of age. „6–7.10 br. in Polanica [Valley] of the forestry inspector, Engr. Wisz Stanisława, and the family of his mother, wife and 2 children were kidnapped, the family of the forester Skórecki from Polanica, consisting of his wife and 2 children, was also kidnapped, he himself escaped”.

As for the events in Polanica, we add that, apart from the family of Engr. Wisza, also Engr. Sladek Władysława with his family (4 or 5 people) and a cashier from the Wierzbicki forest district.

Śladek Władysław Józef b. 1895 – director of a forestry school, and later a forest inspector (Engr. Forester). State Forestry School – Bolechów, later N Polanica county Dolina 6/7 October 1943, after the Soviet aggression, the forest school was closed, and its director became a forester in Polanica, abducted into the forest and murdered with his family by the OUN–UPA gang during a raid and attack for the office of the forest inspectorate.
