Pokosy
During the day, the Ukrainians came to greet the blacksmith Stanisław Potapski, who lived in the forge after his house was burned down during the German pacification, and then came with axes at night. First, they chopped off the hands of the defending 20‑year‑old s/o a blacksmith, who was on guard, then chopped up the whole family: Stanisław Potapski, his wife Maria née Sienkiewicz, their 20‑year‑old son Władysław, the children of the Sienkiewicz family: 17‑year‑old Leokadia and 15‑year‑old Feliks, and the children of the Barański couple from the Olchówka colony: 16‑year‑old Janina and 10‑year‑old Kazimiera. In addition, they hired two Czech girls, Leokadia's friends, who stayed overnight with the blacksmith's family. The crimes were committed by the Ukrainians from the neighboring village of Nowosiółki.
